Life is a road of curves! Thanks Winder Farms!!!

So it has been awhile since I last posted anything. I know! But my life just hit a big curve the begining of July. I had been working for Winder Farms; (Winder Dairy), for two and a half years I was a great employee. Starting off in a very low position (go-back driver), then moving into a Milkman position, then to the warehouse pulling crates of milk, then to the Aquasitions and Sales team, then to Retention Manager, then to Store Manager. It was a long road to where I finally ended up; but it is how I was treated in the end of things that gets my blood too boil!

In a nutshell I was forced to resign my position or be fired. The reason they gave me was because I accessed my own home-delivery account to close it out. That was against policy they said and that I could have changed billing, given credits to myself, etc.. The bottom line is that it had to do with money. I know that they are struggling with money and I was making a very hefty salary for that little retail store. So I was forced to resign, not paid any of my 60 hrs of vacation, thrown to the curb and just given a shallow sorry!

I knew that I wasn't going to work there forever because they way I had been treated. They have never really shown any kind of heart towards their employees, or customers; look at their Better Business Bureau report, or Bill Gephart's report. When I was a Milkman I fell out of one of the trucks twisted my ankle very badly and when I reported it I was laughed at. Also since I wasn't a member of their upper management groupies my opinion wasn't ever accepted. I created a whole retention guide to help with customer retention, we used that for awhile and after I moved positions it fell away. The President always said you can always come talk to me, when I tried I was always pushed aside.

Now I know that I have found a better company and look forward to a new career with the nations second largest wireless company. Good bye Winder, and good luck on doing business in a crummy economy, and forever piss on you!!
